Do you remember the old saying: a friend in need is a friend indeed?
Maybe you don’t feel like there is a problem with your work environment. And you don’t have to feel it. Not yet.
Problems can arise on the market, inside your company or your boss might be in trouble as well. And, as these problems start to show, you can turn from a colleague into a friend.
You can be more significant to your boss, if you are willing to pay a little attention and show some real interest for your company and your work.
You need to grow. (It’s not so difficult, you just have to look at things from a different angle). If your boss thinks of you like: “Hey, this person deserves to be treated someway special”, then you are in the right place.
When you get to the point of asking for a raise (and timing is of essence of course), it won’t be too difficult for you to get what you want.
